CHEM1013 programs

General Chemistry

This course provides an introduction to the chemistry of inorganic molecules. The emphasis is on basic principles of atomic and molecular electronic structure, thermodynamics and acid-base equilibria. The relationships between chemistry and other fundamental sciences (such as biology and physics) and the applications of chemistry to environmental science, atmospheric chemistry and electronic devices are highlighted. The lectures will be accompanied by a laboratory course (instructor: Abdugani Berdiev (PhD)) to allow students to complement the study of theoretical concepts with the practical experience acquired by conducting experiments.
